Springboard Umbrella has yet again shown that Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of their culture.
Jim Gregg, Director of Springboard commented, "New Life Special Care Babies is a dear charity to us as these babies will be the leaders of tomorrow! If we can play our part in giving something back to the society then I can say with some confidence that we are contributing towards a better future".
The Reading half Marathon is spread over 13.1 miles and three members of Springboard Umbrella will run the entire marathon while the other four will run 3.2 miles, which forms part of the Corporate Relay Challenge.
Springboard employees participating in the Marathon are:
Full Marathon (13.1 miles) - Dale Simkiss, Richard Stone and Nicki Shelton.
Corporate Relay Challenge (3.2 miles each) - Kevin Morrison, Justin Coyne, Prithpal Singh and Jo Westerman.
"This is the first major charity event of 2013 that Springboard Umbrella is getting involved in. Our team works hard around the clock but we always manage to find time to give something back to the society. We've received a lot of support from friends, families and suppliers who have generously donated to this cause" said Kevin Morrison, Director of Springboard Umbrella, who will run 3.2 miles as part of the corporate relay challenge.
Springboard Umbrella set out an initial target of £500 and have already raised £345 in the build up to the Marathon. All the funds raised will be donated to The Buscot Ward which is a special baby care unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
